Dance around Hungary online!

You can learn the characteristic dances of eight regions of Hungary from the comfort of your home with the help of National Széchényi Library. Teaching of the dances will be presented by members of the most outstanding children's ensembles, winners of the Szarvas Children's Solo Dance Festival.

Count Ödön Széchenyi, son of Count István Széchenyi, first met the idea of an uphill funicular at the Paris International Exposition of 1867. On returning back to Hungary, he wanted to adapt it to the local environment right away. 
Noise nuisance in the reading room of the Manuscript Collection and the Early Printed Books Archive

Until the end of March 2020, there will be almost continuous and, at times, rather strong noise nuisance in the common research room of NSZL’s Manuscript Collection and the Early Printed Books Archive. The problem has been caused by ongoing construction work in the territory of Budapest History Museum.
