NSZL 215. Studies in Honour of an Anniversary

Volume 11 of the series Bibliotheca Scientiae & Artis is based on the written material of the lectures given in the festive (thematic) section of the traditional annual Research Session of the National Széchényi Library in 2017, on the occasion of the 215th anniversary of the founding of the Hungarian national library and on further papers presenting the results of ongoing scientific research. In the volume entitled OSZK 215. Tanulmányok egy évforduló tiszteletére (NSZL 215. Studies in Honour of an Anniversary), the works on the founder of the library, Count Ferenc Széchényi, his family, his environment, the main library and the collection, which has been constantly growing for more than two centuries, are organized into three chapters. In addition to the inexhaustible richness of the collection, the studies testify to the scientific objectives of the institution, the work and results of the researchers of the national library, the diversity of hungarika and other research, the variety of approaches, questions, problems and the differner of research methods, the staff’s expertise, preparedness, meticulousness and academic and professional humbleness.
