This bibliography is the collection of a supplementary material of the work of Éva Lakatos, bibliographer of journals and newspapers, who passed away in 2014. It is a collection of draft newspapers that were never realized, or only a limited number of them were published, or that appeared in no more than three copies. The descriptions of the items are based on press reports, announcements and calls for subscriptions. The main purpose of the bibliography is to show the history of some of the publications (apart from failed attempts), to reveal the sources of some of the publications that were issued, or the transformations that took place after they were issued. Who and what organisations, when and where they tried to launch a newspaper, and what circumstances prevented them from being published.

The bibliography is the result of decades of collecting. The collection mainly includes literary, social, economic and political journals. The bibliography does not include advertising newspapers. The main aim was to make the collection as complete as possible, but time and space limited the work to some extent. The volume nevertheless provides valuable contemporary and cultural history. The work will be carried further by the editor, László Herendi, who will organise the press, in particular by extending it with the online press of the recent past and the contemporary world.
