Firefighting practice

The Metropolitan Disaster Management Directorate of Budapest will hold firefighting practice on Floor 5 of the Library, at the main entrance and on the corridors as shown below:

November 13, 2018, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m.;

November 14, 2018, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m.;

November 15, 2018, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m.

Handing over of evangelical codices

Part of the volumes originating from the Radvánszky library of Sajókaza was kept by National Széchényi Library as a deposit from 1950 until 2018. The codices will ceremoniously be returned to the National Lutheran Collection by Dr. László Tüske, Director-general of National Széchényi Library on November 11, 2018.

The General Reading Room will be closed temporarily

Hereby we inform you that due to technical reasons, the General Reading Room of National Széchényi Library will be closed temporarily. Stock stored on free shelves here will be available to readers. More information on this will be provided by NSZL staff on duty in the Reference Center of the Library.

Reading Room of the Library of Book History, Library and Information will continue serving readers during its regular opening hours.
