Traffic restrictions on Saturday
We would like to inform our visitors and partners that on Saturday, March 14, 2026, traffic restrictions are expected in District I, along the route of the Honvédfutás race, which will affect access to our library from Dózsa György Square and Palota Street.

In connection with the Day of Hungarian Culture, you are very welcome to an Open Day at the National Library.
Opening hours on Saturday, 10 January
We are pleased to inform our readers and visitors that on Saturday, 10 January, our libraries will be open according to the regular Friday opening hours.
Bookshop Stocktake on 6th and 7th January
The book and souvenir shop of the National Széchényi Library will be closed
on 6th and 7th January 2026 due to stocktaking.
