December and Holiday Opening Hours

We kindly inform our readers and visitors that our opening hours and services will change during the holiday period as outlined below.

Processing of copy requests submitted online will be suspended from 7th December 2025 to 12th January 2026. During this period, document preparation services will be available via the self-service scanners located in the reading rooms.

The National Library of Foreign Literature will reopen on Monday, 5th January 2026,
and the National Széchényi Library on Tuesday, 6th January,
from 10:00, according to our usual opening hours.
