On 1 July 2024, the Ambassador of the Hungarian Office of the Organization of Turkic States, Prof. Dr. István Vásáry and his advisor Dávid Bíró were received by Judit Gerencsér, Deputy Director General of the institution and Zoltán Lewalt-Jezierski, Head of the Cabinet of the Director General of the NSZL.

The meeting focused on the experiences of the May event organised jointly with the Presidential National Library in Ankara under the auspices of the Turkish-Hungarian Cultural Year, an international conference on the life's work of the Transylvanian-born diplomat and founder of printing house, İbrâhîm Müteferrika.

Visitors raised the idea of a possible continuation of the conference "Who connects: İbrâhîm Müteferrika" in Hungary, and the possibility of a joint reflection on another event in Turkey linked to the Turkish-Hungarian Cultural Year.
