National Széchényi Library is looking forward to its 17th Scientific Session to be held in the Ceremonial Hall of the Library on November 24 and 25, 2016. Plenary lectures will be delivered by excellent guest speakers Ádám Nádasdy, László Somfai and György Eisemann.
National Széchényi Library has held its annual scientific sessions since 2000. As part of the national library tradition, the event takes place on the foundation anniversary of NSZL. This year marks the 214th anniversary of the foundation of National Széchényi Library, and, in addition to the internal commemoration ceremony, a public program will also be offered for those interested.
Plenary lectures will be delivered by renowned guest speakers, and visitors will be able to listen to the lectures of outstanding research fellows of the Hungarian national library. The two-day conference is a public event, admission is free, and a detailed program of the five sections of the 17th Scientific Session is available below.

Those interested will be able to listen to lectures given by 21 of the 70 research fellows [1] (academicians, academic and university doctors, PhD students and young researchers) working for National Széchényi Library. Philological issue solving, reviewing and keynote ideas will be focusing on the theme of three notions: Translation, Interpretation, Explanation.
On November 25, 2016, the exhibitions [2] of National Széchényi Library can be visited free of charge.
At the same time, the Library can be visited with a free daily ticket, and those wishing to register for a Reader Pass [3] can buy a pass for 12 months at half price.
In the Gift Shop of the Library, some of our exhibition catalogs and publications will be available at a discount price.
