The Friends of the Bremen City Library arrived at the NSZL on 7 October 2023.

Judit Gerencsér, Deputy Director General, and Zoltán Lewalt-Jezierski, Head of Cabinet, welcomed the German group led by Barbara Lison, former President of the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA). [2]
The Friends of the Bremen City Library [3] were shown around the building and the history of the NSZL, and listened to a short presentation in the Early Printed Book Collection on some of the institution's special documents of museal value and German relevance. The professional programme was rounded off with a theoretical and practical presentation on the national library's digitisation activities in our digitisation centre.
