On 28 June 2024, a delegation from the Belgian Alamire Foundation visited the national library. The purpose of the visit was to discuss cooperation on the digitisation of the Bártfa Collection comprising compositions from the 16th to the 17th centuries.

As a continuation of the negotiations initiated last autumn, the two representatives of the Alamire Foundation, based in Leuven, were welcomed by Judit Gerencsér, Deputy Director General of the institution, Zoltán Lewalt-Jezierski, Head of Cabinet and Anna Laskai, Team Leader. General Manager Bart Demuyt and international valorization and network officer Stef Coninx were given an insight into some of the Franco-Flemish works in the Bártfa Collection.

At the end of the meeting, Manó Barnabás Kukár, Deputy Head of the Department of Collection Preservation and Márton Kovács, Head of the Digitisation Department presented the library's digitisation equipment and operations to the guests.

In the next period, the two institutions will work on a detailed agenda for cooperation, with the aim of starting the digitisation of the volumes regarding the Low Countries found in the Bártfa Collection as soon as possible.
