On 15th April 2025 a delegation from the China National Publications Corporation paid an official visit to the National Library of Foreign Literature (OIK), which is maintained by the MNMKK National Széchényi Library.

On 15th April 2025 a delegation from the China National Publications Corporation paid an official visit to the National Library of Foreign Literature (OIK), which is maintained by the MNMKK National Széchényi Library (OSZK).
The guests were welcomed by Judit Gerencsér, Deputy Director General of MNMKK OSZK, and István Horváth, Director of the OIK. During the visit the Chinese delegation was introduced to the operations, services, history, and future objectives of the library. Special attention was given to the Chinese Corner established in 2014 within the language studio of OIK. It has played a prominent role in promoting Chinese language and culture in Hungary ever since.

A highlight of the visit was a ceremonial book donation, during which the China National Publications Corporation presented a valuable selection of Chinese-language publications to enrich the collection of the OIK. This donation will support the high-quality service the library provides to readers interested in foreign languages, especially to those learning or researching the Chinese language.
During the meeting both parties discussed opportunities for future cooperation, with particular attention to changing reader needs and trends in the publishing market. Both sides reaffirmed their intention to foster long-term professional relations and implement joint projects.
