This publication is a selection of the essays, reviews, presentations and radio lectures by Dr. László Fábián (1892–1978) on the oeuvre and some specific compositions of László Lajtha, together with previously unknown letters that are remarkable sources for research. The letters belonging to the legacy include the entire correspondence between the Lajtha couple and the attorney who was among their closest friends. Part of the documents here published is kept in the Manuscript Collection of National Széchényi Library, and music historian Emőke Solymosi Tari looked into it with the special permission of the heirs.

For political reasons only small part of the writings of the original thinker Fábián was published during the state socialist era. Therefore the texts of our book are also interesting for the history of research.
