In August, the number of articles in the Electronic Periodicals Archive & Database (Hungarian abbreviation: EPA) reached 500,000.

Based on data available this morning, visitors of the site can search in 505,217 articles.

Hereby we would like to inform you that, due to film shooting, the entire territory of Lion Court and the Main Entrance of our Library will be closed between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m. on Thursday August 31, 2017.

Readers can enter the building at the Staff Entrance during the opening hours of National Széchényi Library.

Just like in previous years, National Széchényi Library will take part in the Hungarian Language and Book Festival. We are waiting for you and your friends with a book sales pavilion, a stage book presentation, and with other programs in the Library building.

This year too, Map Collection of National Széchényi Library keeps on presenting library founder Count Ferenc Széchényi’s map collection including several thousands of items.

In the summer, even during the annual closure of NSZL, special guided tours of our János Arany exhibition entitled “Others Get Laurel Only by Leaves…” will be held at 4 p.m. every Thursday and Saturday.

Organized groups can apply for other hours as well, but preliminary notice is required at least two weeks prior to the planned visit. Orders can be placed at the following e-mail address: csoportvezetes@oszk.hu.
