On the first eve of the event series entitled Orientalists in NSZL, on September 13, 2017, classical philologist, Orientalist, university professor Miklós Maróth will deliver a lecture entitled Philosophical and religious ethics in the Islamic world.

During the 26th Budapest Wine Festival, National Széchényi Library can be visited during its usual official opening hours. The easiest way to approach NSZL is to come from Dózsa György Square, using the Express Elevator. Visitors coming to our Library are kindly asked to tell the organizers of the Wine Festival that they want to visit NSZL, and also to present their Reader Pass. Organizers of Budapest Wine Festival will help you to get access to the Main Entrance of National Széchényi Library.
We invite those interested in János Arany’s poetry to a special evening, to the dress rehearsal of the performance of Örkény Theater. Entitled Aranyozás (Gilding), the performance will start at 7 p.m. on Friday September 15, 2017.
