Between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Thursday November 30, 2017, a professional day entitled Libraries in a New Role: Innovative Services will be held as part of K2 further training series entitled Modern Library, Advanced Services.

The 215-year old Hungarian national library celebrates János Arany, born 200 years ago, related to the Library foundation festivities as well. A two-day Scientific Session, discount book sales, the finals of a nationwide reciting competition entitled Te aranyok Aranya! (You Gold (Arany) of Golds!) and a Family Day, featuring guided tours, museum education and handicraft workshops and games for families, will be offered to our visitors.
At 7 p.m. on November 23, 2017, a joint festive concert of Kaláka Ensemble and Péter Huzella will start in National Széchényi Library. The event will celebrate Hungarian poet János Arany who was born 200 years ago.
On November 24 and 25, 2017, NSZL will offer a 50 percent discount from its annual registration fee.
If you are a registered reader of National Széchényi Library, on these two days you can prolong your annual Reader Pass for HUF 3,000, instead of HUF 6,000, while those applicants who hold a Student ID, or are entitled to a reduced registration fee can do this for HUF 1,500, instead of HUF 3,000.
During the Scientific Session, the Family Day and the finals of János Arany reciting competition, discount books sales will be held in National Széchényi Library.
On November 15, 2017, there will be a film history roundtable discussion in FilmesHáz (Film House), Budapest with the participation of film historian László Kelecsényi, and photographers Ferenc Markovics and Magda B. Müller.

National Széchényi Library will hold its traditional scientific conference on November 23 and 24, 2017, related to the János Arany bicentenary and the 215th anniversary of the foundation of the Hungarian national library.
