There will be a Christmas fair in the Bookshop of NSZL between December 13 and 23, 2016. Books published by the Library, and gifts, postcards and posters will be offered at a 15-percent discount price. The Bookshop is located right at the main entrance.

Interesting documents, surprising acquisitions – chamber exhibition

In the past two years, over 180,000 documents arrived from overseas in Hungary via the so-called Mikes Kelemen Program. There are a lot of unexpected treasures and interesting items among the returning documents.

Our bookshop will be opened again on Friday January 6, 2017. The so-called Birthday Package service remains undisturbed. After the re-opening of the Library on January 3, packages can be picked up as usual, on Tuesdays and on Thursdays.

 

Churches at the borders – Attila Mudrák’s photo exhibition

Our photo exhibition presents some of the historic churches renovated or to be renovated with support provided by the so-called Rómer Flóris Plan. Among them, there are some beautifully restored gems and some dilapidated buildings, the exploration and presentation of which will be the task of the next few years.

New application for Hungarian Electronic Library (MEK)

Ákos Muráti, one of the users and readers of Hungarian Electronic Library (Hungarian abbreviation: MEK) made a new mobile application for Windows 10 mobile, tablet and desktop platforms. The free application makes it possible to search for and read books included in the catalog of Hungarian Electronic Library.
